Ringing in the new year, Marvel revealed today a new variant for Superior Spider-Man #2 drawn by Ed  Mcguinness!

Something big happening in Superior #1?

Superior Spider-Man #1 comes out January 9th and will feature Dock Ock as Spider-Man due to the events of the "Dying Wish" arc in Amazing Spider-Man. With how dramatic that event was, of course big news outlets went to Dan himself to get a few interviews out. And thus it begins, my first spoiler review of a Superior Spider-Man comic! What better way too start it off than Avenging Spider-Man #15.1! While Superior Spider-Man already debuted in the last issue of Amazing Spider-Man, this is the first issue we get to see his personal thoughts and get a better understanding of what we are in for when Superior Spider-Man #1 launches in 2 weeks!

Finally revealed in issue #700 of Amazing Spider-Man today, it has been discovered that Doctor Octopus is indeed going to continue being Spider-Man as we saw in issue #698 of Amazing Spider-Man. While I won't spoil everything that happens in issue #700, I highly recommend you pick up Avenging #15.1 to see how this bridges to the main event: Superior Spider-Man!
